Amaro is a feel good restaurant. Under the watchful eye of Ursula Thompson and with young gun Italian chef Matteo at the helm, she is cultivating a little slice of Rome right here in Adelaide. Having previously franchised under another name the team has changed the name, the menu, and has honed some unique cooking styles to serve up the best Italian outside of Italy.

. Their passion for the contemporary ways to present traditional Italian flavours and beverages has begun a new and exciting era for the restaurant. The Amaro culture is dominated by 95% Italian staff to offer their guests the full cultural experience.


After it’s namesake, Amaro, which means “bitter,” specialises in digestive liqueurs. Traditionally, all Italian feasts should end with a digestive or liquor and they have over 30 to choose from in many styles strength and flavours. To help make your decision there is an extensive list and expert staff to lead you in the right direction.
