Well, not quite free fashion, but the event is free – and it’s a must at this year’s Adelaide Fashion Festival.
Fashion activations, workshops, pop-up beauty bars, style advice, giveaways, special discounts and so much more, Fashion on Parade is a highlight of the Adelaide Fashion Festival program and it showcases the best of the eastern suburbs premiere fashion strip. Mark Sunday 15th October in your diary and join the fashionable ones at The Parade, Norwood from 11am.
Start the day with a wander through the Norwood Fashion + Design Market
Run by the stylish Jenn Centenera, owner and founder of the popular Gillies Street Market. You’ll find more than 50 stalls showcasing a wide range of clothing, shoes, jewellery, accessories, homewares and more!
Join the fashion set front row
View fabulous fashion catwalk-side while enjoying a selection of savoury and sweet canapes and beverages when you sit front row at the Runway Affair parade, hosted by Kate Collins. Oh, and there’s also a special take home gift bag filled with product samples and discount vouchers. Three parades will be held across the day at 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Unfortunately tickets are currently sold out, but you can add your name to the waitlist.
Try your hand at jewellery and fashion design
The interactive Fashion Factory will hold fashion and jewellery design workshops for adults and teens across the day.
Soak up the atmosphere – and enjoy the tunes
If you’ve had your fashion fix you can sit back and enjoy the live music – there’ll be seven acts across three stages, plus a DJ. Singer/songwriter Angela Easson kicks things off at 11.30am with her infectious modern country melodies, followed by the slick Mr Wolf at 1pm. If pop and dance are more your thing, you’ll want to hang around for Mr Buzzy Band, they take to the stage from 3pm.
