You’ll want this city-fringe rooftop to be your new local – with a stellar food and drink offering, and playful open air space, it is up there with the best of them.
It’s almost impossible to miss the big, bright and bold signage glowing from the street when you drive down Unley Road, and for good reason! After relatively recent renovations, and thanks to its enviable city-fringe location, The Unley has becomenthe go-to place for after-work drinks, dinner or functions. Aside from their new fresh interior, it’s the spacious rooftop bar that will keep you coming back for more. Bright splashes of colour, coupled with the artificial turf flooring, give this urban gem it’s quirky, unique appeal. That and the enviable food and drinks menu – think haloumi cigars wrapped in brik pastry ad salsa verde.
With summer well and truly upon us and balmy nights fast approaching, this re-vamped space is the ideal place to perch yourself for a mid-week meal or head in on a weekend for tapas Sundays where you can indulge in their five for $35 tapas share offering that changes every week. As well as sampling the flavours this venue has to offer, such as fried whitebait or jamon bruschetta, you can also add a jug of delicious sangria to your experience for only $15. If that’s not to your taste you can’t go past their unique cocktail menu, which includes a spin on the classics with crowd pleasing XOspresso Martinis (the café patron version of the favourite) or local craft beer.
