In Adelaide With Rozalia Russian

On the back of her SA Style Instagram take-over, we sat down with brand ambassador Rozalia Russian to chat all things fashion.

You’re in Adelaide for the Adelaide Fashion Festival. Who were you most looking forward to seeing?
I was most looking forward to seeing the Adelaide Designer showcase! I am absolutely loving the styles and designs coming out of Adelaide at the moment so it was a really special moment to celebrate this milestone with Adelaide designers!

Who is your favourite Adelaide designer and why?
So many to choose from! I’m a huge advocate of Acler, Stephanie Chehade and Aus Fashion Labels designs. Paulo Sebastian also gets a special mention with his inimitable craftsmanship – his show was breathtaking!

Describe a day in your life.
No day is really the same. At the moment a lot of my time is being spent getting ready for the Spring Racing Carnival in Melbourne. Just like all working mums, the one thing my day always consists of is trying to balance the work/mum life!

Yes, you’re a mum of two. How do you manage to stay so fabulous?
Haha! You should have seen me at 6am this morning! Thank goodness for the team at Lancome and Moroccan Oil who have been getting me through Adelaide Fashion Week. Lancome actually have a product that is amazing for under your eyes prior to applying your makeup as it helps with reducing puffiness and instantly makes you look like you’ve had a good nine hours sleep. It’s called the Advanced Genifique Yeux and I’m loving it!

If you weren’t an online entrepreneur what would you be doing?
First and foremost, I love being a mum and that’s always my number one priority. I seriously love what I do and can’t see myself doing anything else, so I definitely believe that I’d still be working in the fashion industry in some capacity as this is my passion!

What advice would you give to those wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Be authentic and genuinely love and believe in the products that you are an advocate for!

What are your five can’t-live-without products?
A good pair of jeans, a well-tailored blazer, a crisp white shirt, a black leather skirt and an amazing everyday designer handbag.

My style icon is…
Christine Centenera. I loved meeting her at this week’s Adelaide Fashion Festival.
My last big-ticket purchase was…
a pair of Christian Louboutin heels (for the Spring Racing Carnival)
My favourite designer is…
I can’t go past Vik + Woods (they have great staple items) and I’ve just discovered a new label I’m obsessed with called White Story!
