HOW TO: Hair Like Elle Ferguson

Famous for her beachy, summer waves, this Instagram it-girl was in Adelaide for Vogue Festival as part of Adelaide Fashion Festival – of course, we’re talking about the lovely Elle Ferguson! Lia from Sueno Hair on Magill Road tells us step-by-step how to recreate Elle’s iconic look.

Step 1

Wash your hair and blast it dry with System Professional Amplifying Foam – it has long lasting hold and volume, which is ideal for fine to normal hair. Before moving onto the next step make sure hair is completely dry.

Step 2

Section the hair into four parts and spray each section with Wella Eimi Thermal Image Heat Protector. Applying a protector when using thermal stylers (see step 3) is a must!

Step 3

When curling your hair alternate the direction of each curl – this gives a slightly more natural look. I use the GHD Platinum Straighteners, but this look is also acheivable with curling tongs – it all depends what you feel more comfortable with! To make the look beachier, go back and straighten the last inch of each curl.

Step 4

Using either your fingers or a large comb (I prefer fingers)break up the curls.

Step 5

To set, give the hair a spray over with Eimi Mistify Me Hairspray.
