A South Australian First with The Mayfair Hotel
The Mayfair Hotel will celebrate the arrival of Maison Mumm’s prestigious RéSeRVé (RSRV) collection in Australia, with an exclusive Champagne Dinner on March 14.
Since 1882, Maison Mumm has reserved their best Grands Crus cuvées for friends and family of the prestigious Champagne house. Today, as a testament to Mumm’s unique savoir-faire and historic vision to produce only the best, Maison Mumm has created an exclusive collection of four cuvées. The Mayfair’s chef, Bethany Finn has prepared five courses to pair beautifully with the four exclusive cuvées, in the style of the Hotel’s signature Mayflower Restaurant.

The RSRV Blanc de Blanc 2013 — a fresh, light and elegant cuvée made from 100% Chardonnay is to be served with the starter.
Entrée will be paired with the RSRV Cuvee 4.5 — a unique blend of Chardonnay (40%) and Pinot Noir (60%), that pays tribute to the diversity and prestige of 5 Champagne villages of Maison Mumm since 1840: Verzenay, Bouzy, Aÿ, Avize & Cramant.
The main course will be partnered with RSRV Blanc de Noirs 2009, made exclusively from Grand Cru Pinot grapes from Verzenay, expressing its full potential in the mouth, with long-lasting intensity.
To complete the evening, dessert will be accompanied by the RSRV Rose Foujita — a unique and richer style rosé that releases aromas of brioche, vanilla pastry and hints of ripe berries.
The evening will be hosted by Finn, along with Mumm Champagne Australia Ambassador Kaitlyn Tremblay. Diners will enjoy a sabrage demonstration and live jazz entertainment throughout the evening.Mayflower’s Champagne Dinner will also herald the start of HENNESYS Rooftop Bar’s Champagne Affair.
The super exclusive Maison Mumm RSRV Blanc de Blancs 2013 will be available by the glass or bottle, for a limited time only throughout March.
