Strikers Dates to Remember

We’re lucky to live in South Australia for a vast many reasons (hellooo, our sunsets are unparalleled), and at the top of our list is that we’re home to one of the world’s greatest women’s cricket teams, the Adelaide Strikers.

We’re in the fifth year of the rebel Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), which is considered the best women’s domestic competition in the world. This year is the first standalone tournament, meaning that, for the first time ever, women’s teams won’t be playing during the same window as the men’s competition.

Essentially, Cricket Australia and each of the states are giving women the spotlight they deserve!

WBBL takes place across the country throughout October and November, with finals the weekend of 7 and 8 December. Our home games take place at Karen Rolton Oval (just outside the city heading North West – opposite the RAH) and are free to attend! The Strikers are also heading to regional South Australia for the first time, playing a game in the Barossa Valley.

WBBL matches are family-friendly, featuring plenty of activities for kids, plus the opportunity to get up close and personal with players after each game.
